In 1945, after the liberation of the Nazi camps, Neus Català, a feminist and republican woman, returns to France where she hopes to meet her husband Albert again. As she rebuilds her new life in freedom, she remembers the events that occurred the previous year, when, being a prisoner of the Nazis, she was sent to work in a factory for the production of military weapons in Czechoslovakia. To continue the struggle and resistance, Neus led a group of women who sabotaged the weapons factory to the desperation of the Nazis. This group of women was called Comando de Gandulas.
